I am thankful for...Milwaukee to Nairobi

March 9, 2012 Greetins from Kenya! Our flight plans were changed at the last minute. The flight out of Newark was delayed and we were going to miss our connecting flight, so United routed us through Chicago on to London, and then from London into Nairobi. We arrived about 10pm local time and Pastor Chuchu, our host picked us up at the airport. Tomorrow we will drive to Kisumu where we will spend the majority of our visit. The highlight of my day today: We flew from London, over Greece, over the Swiss Alps, over the Nile and were able to see all of those locations clearly from 35,000 feet. I have some great pics of the alps but my iPad is not letting me upload my pics, so when I figure out the glitch, I'll post them as well. I am struck with awe when I travel by many things, but in particular the blessing to be able to cover so much territory in so little time. I think of so many who never have the opportunity to leave their home and I am blessed to see the Alps and the Nile in the same day -- yep, awe and gratitude would be the best summation of my thoughts after today.
